I never really used to be that interested in space. I mean, every now and then I’d look up at the stars and go “wow” or watch a documentary and find it interesting, but I didn’t grow up space obsessed and looking through telescopes and reading up about it. But when I realized that the UK has its own space industry, and that its a real possibility as a career right here – not just out in America working for NASA, then I started to get more interested. And the more I’ve learnt, the cooler it’s got. I love the idea of sending things to explore places that no-one has gone before, and learning about new planets and asteroids and moons and things, and sending back pictures of places we’ve never seen before. So the interplanetary missions I love.
